2021
The DECA Project was established in 2018 in cooperation with Innovative Hydrogen Solutions (IHS) to increase an alternative access financing source of IHS projects using its carbon credits.
This led to the foundation of Neetsec International Inc. which developed an ERC20 Smart Contract , a wallet, and the decentralized carbon credit database DECA Green between 07/2018 and 06/2020.
From July 7th 2020 until December 29th 2021, the DECA project raised 65.55 Ethers (equivalent to 242.000 USD at Ethereum price of 3.700 USD per Ethereum) through an Initial Coin Offering. During this time, the DECA team published various papers such as the DECA Price Mechanism and DECA Trust Fund Strategy.
2022
In December of 2021, the Decentralized Climate Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in Mexico City. The primary objective of this foundation was to foster the growth of the DECA Ecosystem while also overseeing the ongoing advancement of the project. Moreover, the foundation took steps to enhance liquidity on Uniswap, facilitating the seamless exchange between DECA and Ethereum.
Subsequent to 2021, the DECA Project diligently directed its focus towards providing robust support and furthering the development of the Decentralized Climate Foundation. The project's endeavors encompassed a spectrum of initiatives including research into Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), initiatives to bolster transparency, website enhancement, and active exploration of collaborations with Social Services and environmental causes. Given prevailing challenges such as Crypto market conditions and other obstacles, the Decentralized Climate Foundation temporarily suspended its financial operations. This pause enabled the DECA Project to concentrate on its principal objectives and Protocol development.
